Teen driver escapes unharmed in Moretown rollover crash

MORETOWN — A 16-year-old male driver emerged unscathed from a rollover crash on Moretown Mountain Rd. Monday afternoon, according to Vermont State Police.

Authorities say the incident occurred at approximately 4:38 p.m. under cloudy skies on the gravel road.

The juvenile, whose name has not been released due to his age, was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The 2012 Mazda MZ3 he was operating sustained damage throughout after the driver reportedly lost control and the vehicle left the roadway, flipping over.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene shortly after the accident was reported.

Despite the extensive damage to the vehicle, the driver did not sustain any injuries and was not transported to the hospital.

Vermont State Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
