Route 9 closed after serious two-vehicle collision in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD — Authorities from the Chesterfield Police Department, New Hampshire State Police, and local fire departments responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Route 9 at the top of Chesterfield Hill on Monday at approximately 6:32 p.m.

The crash involved two vehicles, resulting in a downed telephone pole and powerlines strewn across the road.

The incident has prompted the closure of Chesterfield Hill as emergency crews work at the scene.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.

Chesterfield Police have not released any details regarding potential injuries or the identities of those involved.

Acting Chief Lance Rouse of the Chesterfield Police Department is urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward with information.
