EAST HAMPTON — A man with no fixed address was arrested on seven outstanding warrants, East Hampton Police announced Tuesday.
Scott Jackson, 32, was taken into custody on Sept. 17 and charged with two counts of first-degree failure to appear and five counts of second-degree failure to appear.
Jackson could not post the $185,000 in bonds set by the court and was held for arraignment the next day, Sept. 18 at 9 a.m.
In a separate incident, a two-car accident at the intersection of Middletown Ave. and Skinner St. led to a citation on Sept. 16.
Mark Pellegrini, 64, of East Hampton, was ticketed for failing to grant the right of way at an intersection.
Additionally, on Sept. 22, Joseph Rusczyk, 19, of Portland, was arrested for failure to drive right, failure to display lights, and driving under the influence.
Rusczyk was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Middletown Superior Court on Oct. 2 at 9 a.m.
Between Sept. 16 and Sept. 22, East Hampton officers responded to 18 medical calls, seven motor vehicle accidents, four alarms, and made three traffic stops.
The East Hampton Police Department reminds the public that an arrest or infraction does not indicate a conviction, and all individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
