Worcester police arrest two in armed moped robbery

WORCESTER — Two males were arrested and charged with the armed robbery of a moped and multiple counts of assault with a dangerous weapon on Sept. 22.

Worcester Police officers responded to a call at approximately 6:23 p.m. on Crystal Street, where several victims reported being threatened by individuals wearing black ski masks and armed with firearms.

The suspects had approached the victims as they stood outside near a moped and subsequently fled the scene with the vehicle.

A vehicle linked to the suspects was later discovered parked on Grand Street.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Lucas Parent and 21-year-old Willie Watson.

Both men face charges of armed and masked robbery, along with seven counts of assault with a dangerous weapon each.

The stolen moped was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
