Two arrested in Hudson on drug trafficking charges

HUDSON — Two men have been arrested on drug trafficking charges following a nearly year-long investigation by the Hudson Police Department, Chief Richard DiPersio announced Friday.

Francis Feliz Mejia, 29, of Roxbury, and Charles R.

Claussen, 33, of Stow, were taken into custody on Sept. 20 after officers executed a search warrant at a Stow home.

The operation, led by the Hudson Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit and Detective Unit, in collaboration with law enforcement partners, resulted in the seizure of cash, cocaine, Fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia.

Feliz Mejia faces charges of trafficking a Class A substance, trafficking a Class B substance over 200 grams, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Claussen is charged with trafficking a Class B substance over 200 grams, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and possession of a Class E substance.

During the search, authorities confiscated $7,880 in cash, 393.8 grams of cocaine, 31.4 grams of Fentanyl, and various drug-related items.

Bail was set at $1 million for Feliz Mejia and $500,000 for Claussen.

The investigation was initiated by Officer Jason Hatstat and Cameron O’Toole of the Street Crimes Unit, alongside Detective James Connolly.

Their efforts expanded to include multiple department members and agencies, such as the FBI Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Boston Strike Force, the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT team, and the Stow Police Department.

Chief DiPersio praised the work of the officers involved, highlighting the importance of their dedication to removing illegal drugs from the streets.

He also acknowledged the significant role of the Hudson Police K9 Unit in the operation.
