St. Johnsbury man arrested on outstanding warrant for assault

ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police, along with officers from Lyndonville and St. Johnsbury Police Departments, apprehended 32-year-old John Sheehy.

Sheehy is a resident of St. Johnsbury, and arrested on an active warrant for violating his conditions of furlough related to a charge of first-degree Aggravated Domestic Assault with a Weapon.

The arrest occurred around 3:32 p.m. on Sept. 20 after authorities received information regarding the wanted individual’s presence at 2000 Memorial Drive in St. Johnsbury.

Sheehy was taken into custody without incident and was subsequently lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex pending further legal proceedings.
