Springfield man faces DUI #2, license violation charges after traffic stop

SPRINGFIELD — A Vermont State Police trooper arrested a 29-year-old Charlotte man on suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on I-91 North around 11:11 a.m. Wednesday.

Ajeing A. Dau was also cited for driving with a criminally suspended license and three counts of violating conditions of release, according to authorities.

The trooper assigned to the Westminster Barrack initiated the stop after clocking the vehicle at high speed.

Upon interaction with Dau, the trooper noted signs of impairment which led to his arrest.

Further investigation confirmed the additional violations.

Dau was processed at the Westminster Barracks and is scheduled to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on Nov. 12 to respond to the charges.
