Providence man arrested for obstructing officer during traffic stop

PROVIDENCE — Troopers arrested a Providence man Sunday morning after he allegedly obstructed an officer during a routine traffic stop, according to the Rhode Island State Police.

Nathaniel Gonzalez, 30, of 133 Stansbury Street, was taken into custody at 10:19 a.m. on Douglas Avenue.

The arrest was executed by officers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where Gonzalez was later processed.

Following the arrest, Gonzalez was arraigned and released, with a court date set at the Sixth Division District Court.

The specific details surrounding the obstruction have not been released.
