Man arrested for DUI after crash on Interstate 91 in Westminster

WESTMINSTER — A Massachusetts man was arrested late Monday night after crashing his vehicle on Interstate 91 while allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

Vermont State Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 10:56 p.m. reporting a single-vehicle accident near mile marker 28 on the northbound side of the interstate.

Upon arrival, troopers discovered that 25-year-old Zackary Ramsay of Attleboro, Massachusetts, had crashed his 2015 Toyota Rav4.

The investigation concluded that Ramsay had been drinking prior to the incident.

He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI and was taken to the Westminster State Police Barracks for processing.

Ramsay was released with a criminal citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Oct. 8 at 8:30 a.m. to face the DUI charge.

The court date and time are subject to change at the court’s discretion, and interested parties are advised to contact the criminal court clerk to confirm the arraignment time.
