FITCHBURG — Authorities are searching for a man accused of committing an armed robbery at a local store over the weekend, the Fitchburg Police Department announced Monday.
The suspect, whose image was captured by surveillance cameras, is said to have used a crowbar as a weapon during the incident before fleeing the scene in the vehicle also pictured in the released footage.
Detective Pepple of the Fitchburg Police is leading the investigation and is urging anyone with information about the male suspect or the vehicle to contact the department at 978-345-4355, referencing case number 24-41801.
Members of the public can also leave an anonymous tip through the police department’s website by visiting the designated link.
Officials are cautioning residents not to approach the individual if seen and to avoid leaving names in any online comments.
In case of an emergency or if the suspect is spotted, the public is advised to call 911 or their local police department immediately for assistance.
