DUXBURY — A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Rt. 53 and Franklin St. on the evening of Sept. 21 resulted in the arrest of a man wanted on multiple firearms charges.

Duxbury Police Department, along with Fire Department personnel, responded to the crash around 7:30 p.m., which resulted in both drivers being transported to BID-Plymouth with minor injuries.

During the investigation, officers discovered that Aaron Swift, a 29-year-old Plymouth resident who was a passenger in one of the cars, had an active arrest warrant issued by Falmouth District Court.

Swift, who was also treated for a medical condition at BID-Plymouth, was later moved to a Boston hospital for further care.

Due to a $25,000 bail, Duxbury police officers will maintain a security watch over Swift at the hospital until he can post bail or is taken into custody by the courts.

Chief Michael Carbone of the Duxbury Police Department is overseeing the case.

The department urges media members who notice any discrepancies in the information released to immediately contact their designated media representative to ensure accurate reporting.
