NEW IPSWICH — A late-night collision at a New Ipswich intersection has left two people dead and another with serious injuries, New Hampshire State Police reported.

The crash occurred at 12:05 a.m. today at the intersection of Turnpike Road and Temple Road.

According to the state troopers from Troop B barracks, a 1996 Honda Del Sol driven by 21-year-old Devin Lundgren of New Ipswich was heading north when it collided with a southbound 2015 Dodge Ram attempting a left turn.

Lundgren and his passenger, 18-year-old James Barna of Sharon, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, 36-year-old Samuel Wheeler from Greenville, sustained serious injuries and was flown to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester for treatment.

Preliminary findings suggest that speed may have been a contributing factor to the crash, but a full investigation is underway to ascertain all the details.

Authorities are seeking assistance from the public.

Witnesses of the crash or those with relevant information are encouraged to contact Trooper Isaiah Acquaye directly via email at [email protected] or by calling (603) 223-4381.
