PAWLET — Brian Crossman Jr., 22, of Granville, New York, faced a judge Friday afternoon in Warren County Court in Lake George, New York, on charges of being a fugitive from justice.

Crossman Jr. is the primary suspect in the Sept. 15 triple homicide of his father, stepmother, and stepbrother in Pawlet.

He was arrested on a warrant issued by Vermont State Police for three counts of aggravated murder related to the incident.

Following his court appearance, Crossman Jr. was remanded to Warren County Jail without the possibility of bail.

A subsequent hearing is scheduled in New York for next week to determine the next steps in his legal process.

Officials are currently working on the arrangements for his extradition to Vermont to face the murder charges directly.
