New York man charged with assault, property damage in Pittsford

PITTSFORD — A New York man was arrested Saturday morning after Vermont State Police responded to a reported assault in the Town of Pittsford.

Authorities said Kaivo D. Morris, 41, of Brooklyn, New York, was taken into custody following an incident on Vermont Route 3.

Morris is accused of causing pain and bodily injury to Christopher M. Clark, 41, of Pittsford, and damaging property at Clark’s residence.

Troopers were called to the scene at approximately 10:56 a.m. and upon investigation, determined Morris was responsible for the assault and unlawful mischief.

Following his arrest, Morris was processed at the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks.

He was later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division, on Dec. 9 at 10 a.m.
