ARLINGTON — Vermont State Police arrested 21-year-old Josiah Evans on charges of domestic assault following a family dispute on Sept. 20.
Troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks responded to the incident at a residence in Arlington at approximately 9 p.m. The investigation revealed that Evans had inflicted bodily harm on an individual with whom he had a previous relationship.
Evans was taken into custody and processed at the Shaftsbury Barracks.
He was later released with conditions, including a scheduled appearance at the Vermont Superior Court-Bennington Criminal Division.
The Vermont State Police did not disclose the name of the victim, adhering to policies that protect the identities of victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
