DUBLIN — At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Friday, emergency responders were called to the scene of a tragic single-vehicle crash on Perry Pasture Road involving three teenagers.
Upon arrival, Dublin Police and Fire personnel discovered a car that had veered off the road and collided with a tree.
Two occupants were trapped and unconscious inside the heavily damaged vehicle.
The third occupant, a 16-year-old female from Peterborough, had managed to exit the vehicle and was found walking around the site by the authorities.
Tragically, the 17-year-old male driver from Antrim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other trapped passenger, a 16-year-old male from Antrim, was extricated from the wreckage by fire crews.
Both surviving teenagers were transported from the crash site by the Peterborough Ambulance.
Initial reports suggest that excessive speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash, but authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the precise cause.
