WORCESTER — A Worcester man was arrested early Friday morning after police connected him to a commercial break-in at a local pub.
At about 12:50 a.m., Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the Fiddler’s Green Pub on Temple St following reports of a past break.
Officers promptly secured the scene and confirmed that the pub had been illegally entered and several items were stolen.
Investigating the incident, the officers reviewed surveillance footage from the pub, which captured the break-in.
Roughly 30 minutes after reviewing the video, police located Lawrence Gaul, 43, of South Buffum St, in the Worcester commons area.
Gaul, who was wearing the same attire as the suspect seen in the surveillance video, was recognized and identified by the officers as the individual responsible for the break-in.
Following the identification and further inquiry, Gaul was taken into custody.
He faces charges including Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime for a Felony, Vandalism, and Larceny Under $1,200.
