Theft at Dog Mountain stand, Vermont State Police seek information

ST. JOHNSBURY — On the evening of Sept. 19, the Vermont State Police were called to investigate a case of petit larceny at the Dog Mountain donation stand.

According to authorities, the theft occurred at approximately 7 p.m. at the stand located at 143 Parks Road.

Volunteers provided security footage showing a female suspect entering the stand, taking the cashbox, removing all bills, and then leaving the area in a vehicle.

The suspect, captured on video with braided blonde hair, was seen wearing a large Champion sweatshirt and flip-flops while counting the stolen cash.

A photo of the suspect has been released in hopes that members of the public can assist in her identification.

The Vermont State Police are urging anyone with information about the incident or who can identify the woman in the photo to contact the St. Johnsbury Barracks at 802-748-3111.
