Suspect arrested in 1988 Boston cold case murder

BOSTON — A 65-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with a cold case homicide dating back to 1988, the Boston Police Department announced.

At about 4:44 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 19, members of the Fugitive Unit apprehended James Holloman of Dorchester in the area of Chipman Street.

Holloman was wanted on a murder warrant issued by Suffolk Superior Court for the killing of Karen Taylor.

Holloman is expected to face charges in Suffolk District Court.

The arrest marks a significant development in a case that has remained unsolved for over three decades.

The Homicide Unit of the Boston Police Department is continuing to review the evidence and circumstances of the case.
