South Windsor man arrested on domestic violence charges

SOUTH WINDSOR — A Hartford man was arrested Tuesday on charges related to a domestic violence incident in August, South Windsor Police said.

Isander Nieves, 50, was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 17, according to a South Windsor Police Department statement.

Nieves faces charges of breach of peace in the second degree, harassment in the second degree, and threatening in the second degree after he allegedly appeared at the victim’s residence, threatened to cause physical harm, and sent multiple harassing and threatening text messages.

Police located Nieves in Hartford where he was arrested and processed.

He was held on a $25,000 surety bond.

Nieves appeared in Manchester Superior Court on Wednesday at 9 a.m. The outcome of the court appearance was not immediately available.
