KILLINGTON — An employee at The Mountain Inn was accused of larceny on Sept. 12 after allegedly stealing a money bag containing $340 in cash, according to the Killington Police Department.

Police were alerted to the theft when staff at the inn reported the missing cash bag.

Surveillance footage reviewed by the staff identified Tanya Boisvert, 40, of Ludlow, as the individual taking the bag from an office within the inn.

Boisvert, who had only been employed at the inn for a week, was scheduled to work until the afternoon but was not found on the property when the theft was discovered.

The Killington Police, with assistance from the Ludlow Police Department, located Boisvert at her Ludlow residence.

She was issued a citation to appear in Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division, on Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. to respond to charges of Petit Larceny.

Additionally, Boisvert received a Notice Against Trespass, barring her from returning to The Mountain Inn.

Officer C. DeLorenzo and Sgt. M. Hoffman were the arresting officers in the case.

The Ludlow Police Department provided assistance in the apprehension and citation of Boisvert.
