BOSTON — Boston Police Department officers assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) and the Auto Theft Task Force conducted a recreational vehicle enforcement operation in Egleston Square on Tuesday morning.

At about 11 a.m., authorities seized and towed 13 unregistered mopeds citing various violations of motor vehicle laws and parking infractions.

The enforcement action comes in response to community complaints about off-highway vehicles (OHVs) operating unlawfully in the area.

The Boston Police Department is emphasizing the importance of adhering to state regulations that require OHVs to be registered, displaying a number plate and expiration decal, and to be properly insured.

Officers across the city are strictly enforcing these laws to ensure community safety and compliance.

Residents are reminded that noncompliance with these regulations can result in seizure and towing of vehicles, as well as potential fines.

The department is committed to addressing these complaints and maintaining public order on the roads.
