Warwick man arrested for possession of fentanyl, cocaine

WARWICK — A Rhode Island man was arrested late Friday night on charges of possessing controlled substances, including fentanyl and cocaine, following a traffic stop on Centerville Road.

At 11:15 p.m., Trooper Richards, with assistance from Trooper Nuhn, took 34-year-old Dave Dionne of Coventry into custody.

Dionne, who resides at 175 Fairview Avenue, is accused of possessing less than 10 grams each of fentanyl and cocaine, both Schedule I-V controlled substances.

Following the stop, Dionne was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks.

He was subsequently arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a summons to appear at the Third Division District Court.
