Rhode Island task force arrests three on animal cruelty charges

PROVIDENCE — Three Providence men were arrested Sept. 16 by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force on federal warrants charging them with animal cruelty.

Antonio Ledee Rivera, 46, of 17 Whelan Road; Onil Vazquez Lozada, 40, of 64 Bowdoin Street; and Miguel Delgado, 74, of 80 Borinquen Road, were taken into custody without incident and transported directly to the Federal Courthouse for arraignment.

The arrests were the result of a coordinated effort by the task force, which includes local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Details of the alleged animal cruelty were not immediately available.

The Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force is an entity focused on locating and apprehending individuals wanted for serious offenses, including violent crimes and significant federal charges.
