NEW MILFORD — Officer K. Sin of the New Milford Police Department is leading an investigation into a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Sept. 6 at around 10:30 p.m. near 40 East Street, at the crosswalk by CVS.
Authorities are on the lookout for a black Volkswagen GTI that is suspected to have a damaged or missing driver’s side mirror.
Investigators have identified the make and model of the vehicle from pieces of the side mirror found at the scene.
The New Milford Police Department is urging anyone with information or who has seen a vehicle that matches the description to contact Officer K. Sin at 860-355-3133.
The public’s assistance is considered crucial in the attempt to resolve case number 240001263.
