Duxbury teen dies after single-vehicle crash on Harrison Street

DUXBURY — A 17-year-old Pembroke girl has died following a single-vehicle crash on Harrison Street earlier this month, Duxbury Police confirmed.

At around 12:20 a.m. on Sept. 14, Duxbury Police and Fire responded to a report of a vehicle that had collided with a tree.

Upon arrival, first responders found the teenager trapped inside the car.

Despite being unresponsive, she was extricated using the Jaws of Life and life-saving efforts were made at the scene.

The young driver was then flown to Massachusetts General Hospital via MedFlight.

Sadly, on the night of Sept. 16, the Chief Medical Examiner’s office informed the Duxbury Police that the juvenile had passed away due to her injuries sustained in the accident.

Duxbury Police and the Massachusetts State Police, including their Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, are investigating the crash’s contributing factors.
