BOSTON — Boston Police Department’s Drug Control Units made significant drug busts in Dorchester on Monday afternoon, arresting two men on trafficking charges and seizing a substantial quantity of narcotics and ammunition.
At about 3:20 p.m., officers from Districts D-4 and E-5 arrested Eddie Watkins, 47, and Frederick Bourett, 55, following an ongoing drug investigation and execution of search warrants at a residence on 43 Claybourne Street.
The search led to the recovery of approximately 400 grams of Crack Cocaine, 33 grams of Fentanyl, 55 rounds of ammunition, and around $1,917 in cash.
In addition to the drugs and money, officers found multiple scales, drug cutting agents, and various drug packaging materials.
Watkins, a Boston resident, faces charges including Trafficking of Class A and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B drugs.
He also had an outstanding warrant for Distribution of Class B substances.
Watkins is slated for arraignment in Boston Municipal Court.
Bourett, from Brighton, was charged with Trafficking of Class A and B drugs, as well as Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
His arraignment will take place in Dorchester District Court.
