PAWTUCKET — Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks arrested Timothy Kelley, 50, of Georgia, on Sunday morning after a motor vehicle stop on Sabin Street led to the discovery of outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Kelley, who was stopped at 9:28 a.m., was wanted on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant for failing to appear at a technical violation hearing related to a charge of Domestic Violence – Simple Assault, as well as a Providence Superior Court bench warrant for Violation of Probation on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I – V.
Both charges stem from previous incidents with the Providence Police Department.
Following the traffic stop, Kelley was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and subsequently transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
Later that evening, at 10:02 p.m., Julio Camacho, 53, of Providence, was also arrested by troopers after being pulled over on Pumgansett Street in Providence.
Camacho was apprehended on a Providence Superior Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear for a Restitution Review in relation to a charge of Breaking and Entering of a Dwelling.
This charge also originated from the Providence Police Department.
Camacho was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks before being taken to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
