Armed suspects flee after vehicle tampering, lead police on chase in Windsor Locks

WINDSOR LOCKS — Windsor Locks Police Department responded to a 2:16 a.m. call on Monday at 59 Grove St., where multiple suspects were reportedly tampering with a motor vehicle.

The caller, who confronted the suspects, claimed one pointed what appeared to be a rifle at him.

Upon arrival, a Windsor Locks patrol officer spotted the suspects’ vehicle and attempted a traffic stop.

The suspects accelerated, prompting a pursuit.

For safety reasons, the officer discontinued the chase and alerted neighboring law enforcement agencies and the Connecticut State Police.

Connecticut State Police located the vehicle in Hartford shortly after, which resulted in a foot chase and multiple arrests.

Two suspects remain at large.

The detained individuals are now facing charges by the Connecticut State Police, while Windsor Locks Police Department is coordinating to press additional charges related to the incident in Windsor Locks.
