WATERBURY — An early morning burglary at the Arandas III convenience store has prompted an investigation by the Vermont State Police, officials said Saturday.

Troopers responded to the incident at the store located at 1 River Rd after receiving a report at 1:30 a.m.

According to the preliminary investigation, two individuals arrived at the scene, with one slender male forcibly entering the establishment by smashing a glass door with a large rock.

The individual then proceeded to steal an assortment of Loon vape products before fleeing in a vehicle.

The method of burglary bears resemblance to an earlier incident at CrossRoads Beverage and Deli on Aug. 30, suggesting a potential link between the two crimes.

The investigation is currently active, with authorities seeking assistance from the public.

Trooper Benjamin Goodwin, who is handling the case, has encouraged anyone with information to come forward and contact the Berlin Barracks at (802) 229-9191.
