St. Johnsbury police recover stolen juvenile bearded dragon

ST. JOHNSBURY — A juvenile bearded dragon reported stolen from Aquarealm Aquarium & Pets earlier this month has been safely recovered by St. Johnsbury Police Department, authorities said.

The theft of the reptile from the pet store located at 1216 Railroad Street was reported on Sept. 7.

Following an investigation, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on 789 Railroad Street on the evening of Sept. 13 at about 7:03 p.m.

During the search, police located and retrieved the missing bearded dragon.

The pet has since been returned to its home at Aquarealm Aquarium & Pets.

The St. Johnsbury Police Department have not released information about arrests or charges in connection with the theft as of now.

Details of the investigation are still forthcoming as the case remains under investigation.
