Middletown police seize drugs, arrest suspect after chase

MIDDLETOWN — Middletown Police Street Crime/Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration Hartford office, arrested 31-year-old Dvonte Tenn on Sept. 13 after a brief foot pursuit.

The arrest occurred following the execution of a search warrant at Tenn’s residence, and his vehicle.

The search led to the discovery of approximately 165.2 grams of fentanyl, 182 grams of crack cocaine, 135.1 grams of cocaine, along with drug packaging materials, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and a significant amount of U.S. currency.

Tenn faces multiple charges including two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession with intent to sell more than 1 ounce of fentanyl, two counts of Possession with intent to sell more than half an ounce of cocaine or cocaine base, Operating a Drug Factory, Criminal Possession of Ammunition, and Interfering with Police.

He was held on a $1,000,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 16 at G.A. 9.
