Eden store burglary prompts police search for suspects

EDEN — In the early hours of Friday, Vermont State Police were dispatched to respond to a burglary alarm at Eden General Store.

The incident, which occurred around 1:48 a.m., involved two individuals who forcibly entered the store and made off with an undisclosed amount of cigarettes.

Authorities have commenced an in-depth investigation and are canvassing the area for witnesses and evidence.

Surveillance footage obtained from the store is being analyzed, and images of the suspects have been circulated in an effort to gain leads.

Vermont State Police are urging anyone with information pertaining to the burglary or the suspects’ identities to come forward.

Individuals with knowledge of the crime are encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks to assist with the ongoing investigation.
