Santos was originally arrested on Sept. 10 by U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with assistance from Boston Police, who tracked him down.

At the time, Santos was wanted on warrants for two counts of armed robbery with a firearm and assault and battery with a firearm issued by Roxbury District Court.

The robberies Santos is connected to involved the theft of gold chains from elderly victims, all aged 60 and older, in the Boston neighborhoods of Roxbury, Mattapan, and Hyde Park.
