MIDDLESEX — A Barre woman faces charges of driving under the influence after being stopped for speeding on Interstate 89, Vermont State Police said Friday.
Olivia Treadwell, 24, was arrested Thursday at approximately 11:06 p.m. after troopers clocked her vehicle traveling 92 mph in a 65 mph zone near mile marker 58.8 in Middlesex.
During the traffic stop, troopers observed signs of impairment and subsequently arrested Treadwell on suspicion of DUI, according to police.
Treadwell was transported to the Williston Barracks for processing.
She was later released with a citation to appear at the Washington County Superior Court on Oct. 3 at 9:30 a.m. to answer to the charge of DUI, first offense.
In addition to the DUI charge, Treadwell was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for speeding on the interstate.
The violation carries a $296 waiver fee and two points on her driving record.
