SALEM — A 70-year-old Salem man was arrested Wednesday on a felony charge related to child sex abuse images, police said.

Thomas Piazza was taken into custody following an investigation by Salem police detectives and the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The arrest came after authorities executed a search warrant at Piazza’s home on Aug. 22.

Piazza faces one count of buying child sex abuse images, a Class A felony.

He was released on bail and is scheduled for arraignment in Salem District Court in October.

In a separate incident, an 18-year-old Salem woman was arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting four police officers responding to a fight.

Lucy Jo Quinn was charged with five counts of simple assault, obstructing government administration, resisting arrest, and hindering apprehension, all misdemeanors.

Police said Quinn interfered with officers attempting to make an arrest at a residence on Bluff Street.

One officer suffered minor injuries during the altercation.

Quinn was held without bail and arraigned in Salem District Court on Monday.
