Man charged with unlawful trespass, theft from vehicle in Rutland

RUTLAND — A Rutland man faces charges after allegedly entering a vehicle without permission and stealing property at a local shopping plaza.

Bradley S. Mullan, 30, was cited for unlawful trespass and petit larceny following an incident on Aug. 30 at Green Mountain Plaza in Rutland Town, Vermont State Police said.

At approximately 10:52 a.m., troopers responded to reports of a person entering vehicles in the plaza parking lot.

A witness provided video footage of the suspect, later identified as Mullan.

Alison Pelletier, 39, of Hubbardton, reported items taken from her vehicle.

Police determined Mullan entered Pelletier’s vehicle without consent and took approximately $200 worth of property.

Rutland City Police located Mullan on Sept. 13.

He was arrested on an unrelated $5,000 warrant and issued a citation for the Aug. 30 incident.

Mullan is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division at 10 a.m. on Nov. 4 to face charges of unlawful trespass and petit larceny.
