Waterford police seek help identifying electronics thief

WATERFORD — The Waterford Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of electronics from a local Best Buy store on Aug. 7.

According to authorities, the suspect stole two Western Digital solid state hard drives, with a combined value of $439.98.

The individual managed to disable the security packaging using an “alpha” key before concealing one hard drive in his sleeve and the other in his pocket.

Police believe the suspect may not be from the local area and are encouraging people to share the information to aid in the identification process.

The department also accepts private messages through their official communication channels.
