Rockland police seek driver in hit-and-run pedestrian accident

ROCKLAND — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident yesterday afternoon, and local authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating the driver.

The Rockland Police Department reported that the accident occurred around 4:40 p.m. near Crescent St. The pedestrian, who has not been identified, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses describe the suspect’s vehicle as a white Audi.

However, a photograph provided by the police and comments from the public suggest the car may be a Jeep Cherokee.

The vehicle was last seen heading east on Crescent St.
