WORCESTER — A Worcester Police officer arrested a man early Monday in connection to a break-in at a Green St business, authorities said.

The Worcester Police Department reported that officers were called to the business on Sept. 7 after someone broke in overnight and stole cash from the register.

Surveillance video allowed officers to get a look at the suspect.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 10, the officer who had viewed the surveillance footage was on patrol near Kelley Square and spotted a man matching the suspect’s description.

The man, identified as 30-year-old Rafael Crespi of Main St, was wearing the same clothing as the individual in the video.

Upon stopping and identifying Crespi, the officer determined he was the same person from the surveillance footage.

Crespi was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime for a Felony.
