NASHUA — A Nashua man out on bail for previous drug charges was arrested again after a SWAT team executed a warrant on Sept. 11.
Robert Johnson, 51, was taken into custody by the Nashua Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team on a felony warrant for the alleged sale of crack cocaine, a subsequent offense which qualifies as a special felony.
During the arrest, Johnson was found with a significant quantity of illegal narcotics, resulting in an additional charge for possession of a controlled drug with the intent to distribute, also a subsequent special felony offense.
The Narcotics Intelligence Division had been investigating Johnson between August and September after receiving information that he was distributing crack cocaine within Nashua.
Their investigation led to the acquisition of a warrant for his arrest.
At the time of his most recent arrest, Johnson was out on Personal Recognizance bail from an unrelated narcotics case.
He is currently under indictment for 18 felony offenses, with 14 being violations of the Acts Prohibited statute and four violations of the Convicted Felons statute.
Johnson was held on Preventative Detention and is scheduled for arraignment at the 9th Circuit – District Division – Nashua Court on Sept. 12 at 1 p.m.
