FALMOUTH — Falmouth Police, in collaboration with the FBI, arrested 21-year-old Henry Toran-Sandlin on charges related to the possession and distribution of child pornography.
The arrest occurred yesterday at around 11:23 a.m. during a traffic stop on Spring Bars Road.
Toran-Sandlin was taken into custody without incident on a warrant stemming from a six-month investigation.
The case against Toran-Sandlin began after FBI Special Agents in New Orleans linked him to child sexual abuse material on his Discord account.
Discord is a communication platform widely used by gamers.
Toran-Sandlin is facing multiple charges, including dissemination of material depicting a child in sexual conduct, possession of child pornography, distributing obscene material, and photographing an unsuspecting nude person.
Following his booking at the Falmouth Police Department, Toran-Sandlin was arraigned at the Falmouth District Court.
He has been released on $7,500 bail with specific pre-trial conditions.
Both the Falmouth Police and the FBI emphasize their commitment to child safety and the ongoing fight against the exploitation of children.
