DUNBARTON — A collision involving a school bus and two other vehicles at a local intersection Tuesday morning left vehicles damaged but caused no serious injuries, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 7:29 a.m. at the intersection of Twist Hill Road and Morse Road when a Chevrolet Trailblazer, attempting to make a left turn onto Twist Hill Road, failed to yield and struck a southbound Toyota Highlander, according to the Dunbarton Police Department.

The impact pushed the Highlander into the opposing lane, where it collided with a school bus, bus number 3, that was waiting to turn onto Morse Road.

The Trailblazer and Highlander incurred significant damage and were towed from the scene, while the school bus sustained front-end damage and was driven from the site.

Approximately 20 students were on the bus at the time of the crash, and all were safely transferred to another bus for transport to their schools.

Dunbarton Elementary School and Bow Memorial School promptly notified the parents of the children involved.

No serious injuries were reported among the students or drivers.

Emergency response teams from Dunbarton and Bow Fire Departments, Bow Police Department, Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office, Duval’s Towing, and the Goffstown Truck Center assisted at the scene.

The Dunbarton Police Department is still investigating the crash, but initial findings suggest that neither speed nor impairment were contributing factors.
