NORTHFIELD — A local man was arrested Sunday evening after allegedly discharging a firearm in a threatening and reckless manner.
State Troopers responded to reports of a shooting on Davis Ave at approximately 7:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, authorities found that Garrett Johnson, 32, of East Montpelier, had recklessly fired a weapon, endangering nearby residents Brandon Healy and Christina Sulmonte, both 29.
Johnson faced multiple charges including disorderly conduct, criminal threatening, reckless endangerment, and providing false information to law enforcement.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Following his arrest, Johnson was issued a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court — Criminal Division on Monday, Sept. 9, at 12:30 p.m. for the offenses.
The case is expected to proceed with court action following the initial appearance.
