New London police investigate shots fired

NEW LONDON — On Monday, Sept. 9, at approximately 6:07 p.m., New London police officers were dispatched to the intersection of Roseway St. and Cutler St. following reports of gunfire.

Upon their arrival, law enforcement found shell casings that corroborated the initial reports of a weapons discharge.

Members of the Investigative Services Division were summoned to the scene to conduct a thorough inquiry.

The area was meticulously examined, evidence was secured, and the vicinity was searched for witnesses or additional information.

Fortunately, there were no injuries resulting from the gunfire.

As the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident continues, authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to step forward.
