Teens in stolen vehicle crash, flee scene in New Haven

NEW HAVEN — A stolen vehicle was involved in a high-speed crash at the intersection of Sherman Avenue and George Street around 12:30 a.m. with multiple young individuals fleeing the scene on foot.

According to police, the stolen car lost control and collided with another vehicle after reportedly being one of two cars speeding and chasing curbs through the city streets.

Witnesses described the suspects as “young kids” who bailed out of the crashed vehicle and ran away.

The New Haven Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals who were behind the wheel of the stolen vehicle.

Anyone with information about the suspects or their parents is urged to contact the authorities.
