Providence man faces charges for drug possession, driving without license

PROVIDENCE — A Rhode Island man was arrested by state troopers at 4:32 p.m. for drug possession and driving offenses.

Peerun Sou, 28, of 96 Althea Street, Apartment 1, Providence, faces charges including possession of a Schedule I-V substance less than 10 grams (Fentanyl), possession of marijuana over 2 ounces, and driving with an expired or without a license for the fourth or subsequent offense.

The arrest followed a routine traffic stop where troopers discovered the substances and verified Sou’s driving status.

Sou is currently being held and awaiting arraignment.
