Pedestrian airlifted after being struck by vehicle in Plainville

PLAINVILLE — A female pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle on New Britain Avenue at the intersection of Hooker Street on Sept. 8 at around 10:04 a.m., authorities reported.

The Plainville Police Department, after receiving the emergency call, promptly responded to the scene.

The injured pedestrian received immediate medical attention and was subsequently airlifted to Hartford Hospital by a Life Star Helicopter for further treatment.

Officers from the Plainville Police Traffic Division are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident with assistance from the Connecticut State Police.

The details of what led to the accident are still being determined.
