Wethersfield police warn of home improvement fraud

WETHERSFIELD — The Wethersfield Police Department issued a consumer alert Monday following two reported cases of fraud linked to home improvement contracts since Aug. 26.

Authorities are urging residents to verify the credentials of home improvement contractors before making any payments.

The police remind the public to be cautious and to report any dubious solicitations related to home improvements.
