Two dead in Foxborough crash, investigation ongoing

FOXBOROUGH — Two people were pronounced dead at area hospitals following a motor vehicle crash, Foxborough Police Department confirmed.

The accident, which occurred near the intersection of South Street and Cedar Street, led to the closure of the area as emergency services responded to the scene.

The collision, initially reported on Sept. 6 at around 4:40 p.m., involved two vehicles.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured and is cooperating with law enforcement officials.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the identities of the deceased, awaiting notification of their families.

The Foxborough Police and Fire Departments, supported by the MSP CARS unit and the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, are conducting an in-depth investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the location and seek alternative routes.

The intersection remains closed, and no further information is available at this time as the investigation continues.
